Lecture, Workshop, and ‘Read & Critique’

Saturday, Aug 11, 18 & 25    1pm - 2:30 pm

Whether you only have an idea, you’ve already started writing, or you’ve just finished your book, each class in this 3-week course has something to offer
This 3-week course will cover the following:
First week: LECTURE (topic will change each month)
Learn about an aspect of writing and improve your skills. Character development, keeping up tension, avoiding “filler” words, etc.
Second week: WORKSHOP (come ready to write)
Prompts based on the lecture content will be provided to get your writing juices flowing.
Third week: READ AND CRITIQUE (bring in your own work)
You will read (or have someone else read) a sample of your WIP (work in progress). Then your peers and the instructor will give you the positives and critiques about your work.
