CHILDREN’S SUMMER THEATER WORKSHOP
IT’S A TRICKY WORLD!

Mon June 19 - Fri June 29 9 am - 11:30 am
Fun, challenge and rewards await the students of this workshop as they work with an original script featuring multi-cultural tricksters such as Anansi, Coyote and Monkey. Under careful direction they will participate in daily theater games and exercises in order to build acting skills and develop character using voice, body language, improvisation and mime. There are rich and complex roles for the experienced students and delightful roles for the beginner. Everyone gets a speaking part and rehearsals build on critical thinking and cooperative problem solving, as characters develop and actors form friendships. Students will also be involved in building props and creating set pieces and costumes. The workshop culminates in a polished performance on stage at the Lincoln City Cultural Center, guaranteed to delight audiences of all ages. Pre-registration is required, space is limited.
Cost $50, Students must enroll for both weeks and be available for the performance Friday evening.
