Lincoln City dancer Hoku LaSoya is creating a one woman show that will take place at the Lincoln City Cultural Center auditorium on the evening of Saturday, May 16th at 7PM featuring a mix of dance styles and music with integrated video between live performances. This show will take you on a wild journey with a young performance artist.

Two years ago Hoku self produced her first show “Volcano of Dance”. It was a huge success and nearly sold out. For this show, “Hurricane Hoku”, she has widened her skillset and developed impressive techniques.

At 11 years old, Hoku has been practicing classical ballet for 8 years and participated in 41 ballet performances. She started Irish dancing at five years old and regularly performed with a group. Two years ago she started competitive Irish dancing and has been winning medals and trophies ever since. If that isn’t enough, she also takes musical theater and jazz dance classes. At home she loves to create her own choreography and has taken her routines to national competitions and won multiple awards. She will be performing many of these routines at the show. Hoku lives to perform and lights up any stage she graces. She is a true artist and will surprise the “Hurricane Hoku” audience by unveiling another amazing talent.

If you love ballet this show is for you! If you love Irish dance this show will be a right good time! If you love jazz dance, Taylor Swift, or Lady Gaga’s music, you don’t want to miss this show. Any Hamilton fans? Yep, you’ll be happy you came.

Hurricane Hoku will run about an hour and forty minutes including the 15 minute intermission where there will be incredibly delicious snacks for sale with proceeds that benefit the Lincoln County Animal Shelter. Please come support Hoku and enjoy a fun evening out with family, friends and neighbors. All seating is reserved and tickets are on sale now! $12 for adults and $8 for under 18 years old.
