The historical knowledge and celebration of freedom from slavery brings us to the current day of continuous appreciation and celebration of freedom. Music was and is an inaugural part of that expression. Lorna Baxter Septet shares the historical news of freedom that was delivered in that day and brings the ongoing celebration through a blend of spirit raising music by way of a blend of jazz, soul, blues and more. This concert is FREE and open to the public. The Lincoln City Cultural Center is also proud to co-host the Juneteenth Celebration event at the Community Center on Friday, June 19th from 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM.
